There is so much information written about the benefit of wine! White wines are rich in vitamins, improve the digestive secretion, and manifest anti-diabetic and cardioprotective properties. The same can be said about the red wine, but it, in contrast to the white one, very efficiently prevents the development of arteriosclerosis, reduces the risk of death because of cerebral stroke, performs anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiviral and anticarious actions. There is no doubt about the antioxidative activity of the red wine. It is this fact that explains the constantly growing demand of red wine for the past 20 years in the Western countries. Due to these properties, wine is used as anticancer, radioprotective and sunblocking remedy. For instance, the Isabella grapes contain rubidium, a very rare element, which is very useful for haemopoiesis. |
ISABELLA. This variety of grapes is present in Moldova and Georgia, especially on the Black Sea coast of Caucasus, in Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Krasnodar region. This is the most undemanding variety of grapes, which does not require to be looked after. Furthermore, it is very resistant to fungus diseases and phylloxera; it is rather high-yielding and relatively frost-resisting. Therefore, it usually grows in the yards of domestic buildings, winds around summerhouses, protects the entire yard from the sun and is the perfect primary material for dessert wines. |
